Privacy Policy

McMorton Media, Inc. Effective Date: August 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how McMorton Media, Inc. ("McMorton Media," "we," or "us") handles information in connection with our marketing, consulting, and managed social operations services, and in connection with this website.

Scope

This policy applies to:

Where we handle Platform Data for a client, we do so to provide services that client has requested. The client determines which assets are connected, what policies apply to their public communications, and what actions are taken on their accounts.

Categories of Information

Website information. If you contact us through the email address published on this site, we receive the message you send and the address you send it from.

Client and business contact information. Names, business names, roles, email addresses, and other contact details for the people we work with at a client organization.

Engagement information. Notes, instructions, approvals, and materials exchanged with a client while performing services.

Authorized Facebook and Instagram Platform Data. For clients who use our managed social operations service, this may include:

We access Platform Data only for assets a client has explicitly authorized, and only for the functions the client has asked us to perform.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not use authorized Platform Data for purposes unrelated to the services a client has requested.

Selling and Advertising

McMorton Media does not sell client authorized Facebook or Instagram Platform Data. We do not use client authorized Platform Data to build advertising profiles about individuals for unrelated third parties.

How Information Is Shared

We share information in a limited set of circumstances:

With the client. The client whose assets are connected has access to the activity and information associated with those assets, through their own accounts and through the operators they authorize.

With the platforms. Interactions such as replies, hides, or other moderation actions are carried out through Facebook and Instagram, and are therefore transmitted to and governed by those platforms.

With service providers who support our operations. Where we use providers to help us deliver our services, they are permitted to handle information only as needed to perform work for us.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is required to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the safety of others.

In a business transaction. If McMorton Media is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Separation Between Clients

Our managed social operations service is designed to keep each client business logically separated. A client's authorized operators are intended to have access to that client's connected assets and activity, and not to another client's.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the services a client has engaged us for, and for as long as we are required to retain it to meet legal obligations or obligations under applicable platform terms. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we take steps to delete it or otherwise remove its association with an identifiable person. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason we hold it.

Security

We take reasonable measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure, including limiting access to those who need it to perform their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Requests

Clients. A client may withdraw authorization for any connected asset at any time through the platform's own settings, and may contact us to request changes to how their engagement is handled.

Individuals. If you interacted with a business we support and want your information reviewed or deleted, you may contact us at dmcauliff@gmail.com. Because the client business is responsible for its own accounts and its own records, we may need to work with that client, and we may need to verify authority before acting. See our User Data Deletion Instructions for what to include in a request.

Platform level controls. Facebook and Instagram provide their own settings for managing your information, your visibility, and the apps connected to your account. Those controls operate independently of us.

Children

Our services are provided to businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek or use information from children. If you believe a child's information has been provided to us, contact dmcauliff@gmail.com so we can review the matter.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated version on this site. Material changes will be reflected in the posted policy, and continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
